Wind farms are often visible from public roads, and good viewing points can be found in the surrounding region.  Unfortunately gaining access to wind farms is often not convenient because they are usually sited on private land.  However, special arrangements may be possible if you contact the wind farm operator directly.  Once a wind farm has been built, the wind farm operator is the key organisation to contact, and they may be able to arrange access themselves or via the landowner.  A visit to a wind farm is often popular for groups of school children.
